The ComEth4582a implements a new generation of multi-layer Ethernet matrix for high speed embedded interconnect applications requiring low-power 10Gb and 40G connectivity.

 

IC’s Switchware management application provides IPv6 support, RIPng, OSPF v3, VRRP, security features, configurable memory allocation and new status counters.

 

Fully compatible with the existing ComEth43xx Switchware, the ComEth4582a is the ideal platform combining enhanced features and flexibility.

  • 30 ports, individually configurable in 10GBase-KR or 1000Base-KX modes. Moreover, each group of 4 serdes can be merged to support 40GBase-KR4 or 10GBase-KX4 modes.
  • 2 Serdes on the front panel, linked to 2*SFP+ cages to support fiber or copper Giga/10Giga modules.
