2009 Aerospace and Defence Software Seminar

Posted: April 14, 2009

Engineers must optimise a complex, delicate balance of portability, speed, power, weight and space. To win and be profitable, aerospace and defence suppliers must take advantage of industry-leading COTS hardware, operating systems, and middleware; consider using advanced multicore processors to achieve required performance; integrate legacy and new applications, often from multiple teams and subcontractors; and even ensure safety and security by complying with strict certification standards such as DO-178B, Common Criteria, and IEC 61508.

Attendees will learn about the latest in multicore processors and their support for robust operating software environments such as ARINC 653 APEX environments and multilevel secure products using the multiple independent levels of security (MILS) architecture.

Perth:          29th April 2009, Tradewinds Hotel, Fremantle
Adelaide:     1st May 2009, Technology Park Conference Centre, Mawson Lakes
